2 cups cake flour (not self-rising)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
1/4 cup whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
For frosting
2 (8-oz.) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon rosewater (optional)
Garnish: nontoxic and organic (pesticide-free) small roses, pansies, and scented geranium leaves and blackberries dusted with confectioners sugar
